  5. Thanks for trying BattleGrid for Windows. This program is released as an
  6. evaluation copy.  If you like it and intend to continue using it, please send 
  7. $15 to the author as described in the online help.

  17. CTL3D.DLL  Should be located in the WINDOWS directory. Must be in the PATH.
  18. BG.EXE       Any directory.  Must be located with BG.HLP.
  19. BG.HLP     Any directory.  Must be located with BG.EXE.

  23. Creating the icon
  24. -----------------
  25. If you already know how to install a Windows application, then place the 
  26. executable file (BG.EXE) wherever you like.  Otherwise, copy the 
  27. program file into your Windows directory and run Windows.  Then, 
  28. follow these steps:
  29.  
  30.     1. In the Program Manager, open your Games icon ( if it is not 
  31.        already open ).
  32.  
  33.     2. Select the File menu in the menu bar of the Program 
  34.        Manager and make the New... selection
  35.  
  36.     3. When the dialog box opens, press the OK button.
  37.  
  38.     4. If you are using Windows 3.1, at this point you need to
  39.        press the BROWSE button to open the file selector.
  40.        Use the controls in this window to display the directory
  41.        that contains the files in the BattleGrid archive.

  43.     5. In the file selector, scroll down to the bottom of the list.  
  44.        Double click on BG.EXE.
  45.  
  46.     6. In the next dialog that appears, press Change Icon.  If the 
  47.        icon shown is not acceptable, press the View Next button until
  48.        a more appropriate icon is displayed.  When you are ready,
  49.        press OK and OK again.

  51. The BattleGrid icon should now appear in your Games group.  The 
  52. program can be run by double clicking on the new icon.
